Okay, hear me out. I know I said I’d start my daily gratitude practice tomorrow, but I couldn’t resist giving it a test run today. While I’ll be creating daily gratitude lists, I wanted to kick things off by reflecting on the past week. Putting these moments into words feels surprisingly good, almost like I’m giving them the space they deserve. But let’s be real: committing to this every day will be a challenge. I’m not sure how easy it’ll be to stick with it, but I’m hopeful. There’s real power in this practice, I’m told, so even if it pushes me, I’m ready to see where it leads.
Here’s a look at what I’ve been grateful for this past week:
I’m grateful for Hurricane Helene passing without major damage.
I’m grateful for being able to help my family during the power outage.
I’m grateful for my mom’s loving gesture of folding my laundry.
I’m grateful for small acts of kindness that mean so much.
I’m grateful for the hard conversation with my friend that brought us closer.
I’m grateful for friendships that survive difficult moments.
I’m grateful for the clarity and relief that therapy brings.
I’m grateful for the comfort of doing therapy from my own couch (virtual sessions).
I’m grateful for leadership’s trust in me at work.
I’m grateful for feeling seen and recognized at work.
I’m grateful for the connections I’m building on Substack.
I’m grateful for the authentic conversations with my Substack community.
As I step into this gratitude journey, I’d love for you to join me. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the little things that often go unnoticed and learn from the bumps in the road. I’m excited to see where this practice lead me and you, and I hope you’ll feel inspired to reflect on your own moments of gratitude along the way.
